Life & Doctrine is a new 6-week series of classes we'll be offering on Wednesday nights to help connect theological truths with everyday life. We'll begin May 15th with a 3 week series on Gender, Sex and Sexuality. The following 3 weeks will centre around the question, "What am I here for?" taking a look at how we can embrace a Christian view of work and culture.

Below the "REGISTER" button is a description of the classes. If you have any questions about these classes, please email [email protected] or use the form below.

Weeks 1-3: We'll be exploring a Biblical perspective of one of today's most discussed and hotly debated topics: Gender, Sex and Sexuality.

Week 4: Before we can ask the question “what am I here for?”, we must first learn to ask the question “who am I?” On the surface, this seems like a simple question and yet daily we are being bombarded by competing answers. So, what does God say about our identity and purpose as human beings? As we dive into the Scriptures, we see that our calling centres on our creation as God’s image-bearers. In this first session, we will follow the theme of the “image of God” through the biblical narrative as the foundation for how we understand our purpose in the world.

Week 5: As we understand our place in God’s story, we see with greater clarity our calling in this world. As God’s image-bearers, we are designed to reflect His beauty and authority in everything we do. This includes not only our ministry to the Church, but our careers, education and daily tasks as well. In this second week, we will explore how the Christian worldview shapes how we see our work. We will also survey how we can practically reflect God’s character in the home and in the workplace.

Week 6: As humans have lived on God’s earth, we have reflected His creativity in many ways. We have developed governments, shopping centers, sports, arts, parks, board games, and parent-teacher associations, among countless other things. We have traded in real estate and finances. We have removed strenuous physical activity from life and then realized we still need to exercise. How does this all relate to who we are before God? How should Christians interact with the culture around us? In this session, we’ll look at what it means to enjoy and build the creation of our good God.
